Abandon Ship!

Costa Bloody Fortune

Just seen footage of that dreadful tourist trap The Costa Concordia. Why people want to go on one of those things is beyond comprehension. Still it keeps the riff-raff away from my retreats in that part of the world one supposes.

Anyway it transpires that the Captain was one of the first ones into the water quickly followed by half the crew! What a ghastly shower of individuals! What happened to the Captain going down with his ship and all that? Captain E.J. of the Titanic deliberately rammed his ship into that iceberg just so he could go down with it and get himself a place in history. That's more like it!

There is only one thing to do with the Captain of the Costa! He should be made to walk the plank! That's the only sort of language his sort understand.

  1. i beg to differ Sir! he should be horsewipped to within an inch of his life first, then be made to walk the plank!
no duobt he'll get off any kind of meaningfull punishment, claiming human rights voilations.
This wouldn't have happened back in India y'know; back then we would have strapped the filthy foreigner to a good old British cannon, and blasted his sorry entrails out for the vultures feed on!

  2. Farquers!!!
Yes a good horsewhipping. You know at the age one is one forgets the values that made one the man one is. And one recalls that a thorough horsewhipping never caused one any pain.

One's Doctor, a superb practitioner called Doctor Davis, frequently administered this form of medicinal treatment to all and sundry before even telling him what one's problem was. His catchment area had the lowest illness rate in the land! (Based upon surgery visits.)

Thanks for putting one back on the straight and narrow.
